Mr. James Byarugaba is passionate about seeing children and young people live their lives to the full and he has committed the last 14 years working with Youth Alive Uganda. He is skilled in project design, planning, implementation and business development. He is also a Man up delegate a global coalition of young people across the world to end sexual and gender-based violence and is so passionate about promoting gender equality as well as preventing sexual and gender-based violence.
His vision is to see one world where boys and girls; men and women have the same opportunities and are empowered to contribute equally in shaping the world they want and a violence-free world where no human being owns the other or insights harm based on one’s gender. He holds a Masters in Human Rights from Makerere University Uganda, a Masters in International Development from the National University of Ireland-Maynooth and currently pursuing a PhD in Human and Social services from Walden University USA.

Adrian Kalemeera serves as Director of Programs & Business Development. He believes that “each one should use whatever gift they have to serve others” and has dedicated the last 12 years of his life to supporting youth in development work, including, among others; HIV, mental health, gender, livelihood, child protection, and sexual reproductive health.
Over the years, Adrian has supported several civil society organizations and Government departments to conduct local capacity development assessments, trainings, and mentorships.
He holds a master’s Degree in Development Studies and other graduate qualifications in adult and community education, youth development work, as well as social work, and social administration.

Is an experienced Data Manager, Quality Assurance, and M&E Specialist with over 15 years of demonstrated experience in M&E for development and post-war recovery programmes in non-profit organizations.
Allan is highly knowledgeable in M&E approaches for different donor funded programmes including among others; USAID, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), SIDA, Mastercard Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
With solid experience in Knowledge management; developing & managing big data and dashboards as well as managing live Management Information Systems (MIS) for tracking project performance.
The Makerere-trained Economist has a strong expertise in institutional system strengthening, participatory approaches to monitoring and Evaluation, and is a trainer of trainers who is trained in monitoring and evaluation, QGIS, Data Management, and Analysis.

Stella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting, complemented by a Master’s in Business Administration. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), reflecting her expertise and commitment to excellence in financial management.
With a strong foundation in accounting principles and a comprehensive understanding of business administration, Stella excels in leading cross-functional teams, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at different levels. Her dedication to driving organizational growth and maximizing efficiency makes her a valuable asset to Youth Alive Uganda.

Irene is passionate about creating strong morale within work teams, utilizing the unique team skills and able to accurately analyze future trends, anticipates future consequences and translating them into the fulfilment of workable strategies and plans.

Mary has successfully managed Projects focusing on HIV/AIDS, Youth health, child protection, sexual and reproductive Health focusing on OVCs, youth, Teenage Mothers and caregivers. Mary’s passion lies in striking a balance between healthcare service delivery and economic empowerment. This correlation between health and economic empowerment is her quest for all program designs given her wealth of experience in youth programing.

He does analysis of the regional and national development, identification of main partners, strategic positioning of YAU in the potential operational niches identified, as well as growing a pipeline opportunity for the organization.
Daniel has Built networks of key partners and stakeholders, keeping abreast of evolving trends (social, economic, and political), including the application of innovation to project and partnership development. With a blend of educational background of Master Degree in Public Health and Bachelor degree in Development Studies, Daniel understands the growing need for collaboration and partnerships to address the evolving needs and funding landscape.

Jude Okongo is the Chief of Party for the USAID OVC Northwest Activity, a 05-year, Youth Alive Uganda Project funded by PEPFAR/USAID whose goal is to holistically empower children, youth and adolescents and their caregivers to lead healthy, resilient and productive lifestyles. He has over 12-years’ experience in project planning and management, grants management, stakeholder management, resource mobilization, and organizational capacity building for CBOs and private sector actors. He has wide knowledge and experience in interventions that contribute to better health, nutrition, education, livelihood and social protection outcomes for vulnerable children and youth. Jude favors applied learning and participatory training methodologies, data-driven decision making and lifelong learning. He is an Acumen 2022 East Africa Leadership Fellow, a Master Trainer in participatory adult learning methodologies and holds a Master degree in Institutional Management and leadership.

I am Nuliati Nansubuga, a Risk and Compliance Specialist at Youth Alive Uganda. With a diverse background in finance and experience in supporting internal audit functions, I bring a unique perspective to my role. My expertise lies in navigating the intricacies of systems and processes, allowing me to effectively assess and mitigate risks within the organization. At Youth Alive Uganda, I leverage my experience to develop robust risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, my experience in supporting internal audit functions equips me with the skills needed to conduct thorough assessments and implement internal controls that safeguard the organization’s resources across all organizational departments. These include; Project implementation, Finance & Operations, Procurement & Logistics, MEAL, ICT Management, and Human Resources. Through collaborative efforts with stakeholders, I strive to foster a culture of transparency and accountability thus empowering Youth Alive Uganda to achieve its Vision, mission, and core values.
